Mandelbulb - A 3D version of the Mandelbrot fractal

Mandelbrot is probably the most famous fractal. 20 years ago the mathematician and science-fiction writer Rudy Rucker came up with the idea of a 3D-version of the mandelbrot fractal. At that time the computers had a hard time to even render the simple 2D fractal. But now the computers are faster and some math genius also found a way to render the 3D-version faster so here it is, the Mandelbulb.
